On March 5th, Ameren Illinois proposed a new commercial and residential energy efficiency plan to the Illinois Commerce Commission. This incentive program will target 1,122 GWh of electric savings through energy efficiency upgrades from 2026 to 2029, which Ameren predicts will save customers over $2 billion. The company plans to invest $145 million annually in energy efficiency programs, including home assessments, efficiency upgrades, rebates for heating and cooling systems, air sealing, and insulation services.
